Thanks for visiting my page!
I've been on a long hiatus from deviantART for quite some time but I plan on coming back for good now. I've been on many a journey of self-discovery and, like all journeys, I've gotten lost along the way. But rediscovering my roots in anthropomorphism and my deep connection to my wolf spirit, I realize that I need to rekindle my creativity in fantasy.
My biggest inspiration throughout my art journey is Christie "Goldenwolf" Grandjean. I've been interested in drawing and art since I was a toddler, but Goldenwolf was the initial shove that drove me to try harder to create beautiful things. Her art always creates such strong emotions within me, giving me goosebumps and even creating tears within my eyes to see the epic beauty that she can conjure in her paintings. I've met her once and she is the most kind, inspiring woman anyone can have the pleasure of speaking to. I always remind myself of the love I have for her artwork when I'm creating artwork of my own.
During my long hiatus (through my better part of high school, come to think of it), I had fooled myself into believing that all my fantasy artwork involving wolves and animal-people was childish and that I'd be made fun of for it. Sure you can be mocked for your subject choice in your artwork, and of course I've been made fun of for it. But then I come to realize- If all artwork was the same, just paintings of fruit and barns, what is the point of artwork? art is to express yourself, not to copy others (though there is nothing wrong with being inspired by someone!). I've grown up quite a lot and realized that when you have an expansive, fruitful imagination, you need to preserve that in creations. That is the reasoning behind my art.
I am fascinated by the Ancient Celts and believe in the metaphysical power of nature.
Feel free to say hi! I'm very open and nice
If you want just some basic facts about me:
I am 18, and have the most wonderful best friends Elizabeth and Kathryn. Lord of the Rings is my life and I make the most friends with my awkward situational humor. My favorite colors are red wine, burnt orange, navy blue and forest green. I really like sweet iced tea. If I could be anywhere in the world, it would be in a forest where I could sit and watch the full moon. In person, I'm really shy and awkward until I become comfortable around you, then I'm bubbly and funny. I'm not too fond of the sun or heat. My favorite pass time is going on motorcycle rides with my dad, and we've traveled to 28 states together by harley.
